Achievements:
  • Developed role as internal consultant to recommend on technical aspects of the online systems
Skills gained:
  • Communication of technical concepts to people unaware of technological capabilities
  • Learned that people and business processes are the crucial factors in the delivery of a successful online development
Electronic Operations Co-ordinator (role two)
Achievements:
  • Created a new role as a central co-ordination point for all online activity
  • Conceived and implemented the electronic operations (eOps) meetings to bring all departments together to share online knowledge
  • Trained all users of the BroadVision system
  • Wrote comprehensive user-guides and documentation for the online systems
  • Transformed support process and reduced mean fix time from 57 days to 18 (target 21)
  • Instigated standardised reporting of management statistics for customer use of websites

  • Generated $¾ million in sales by fifth month of employment

Research Funding for Dissertation
Secured funding, equipment and a laboratory for my final year dissertation on environmentally considerate chemical replacements in the steel finishing industry.

Interests My interests include contemporary alternative music, Mediterranean and Oriental cookery, interior design and home improvement, current technological developments and studying philosophy.
