Concept
Self imposes on world: The culture you come from, your language, what you know, how you investigate a problem, in fact who and what you are influences reality.
This sounds obvious, but follow this logic to see what this means:
- Reality is what you experience. Reality is simply this. (see Concept: Private Language)
- You do not perceive the 'raw data' that your senses take in. All that data is filtered and interpreted by your mind. Your lexicon of concepts and language make up how you can interpret this data (see Concept: Language and Concepts)
- How you look at something influences what you see (see Concept: The two slits experiment)
- Thus if you change yourself, you also change reality.
- Thus, to change the world you must change yourself.
